Freddie McNicholas

2026/27 Cohort

Freddie McNicholas is a Senior Product Manager at Just Eat Takeaway.com, one of the world’s leading global online food delivery and logistics marketplaces. In his current role, he operates within the customer support product function, which is at the cutting edge of meaningful AI implementation in consumer facing businesses. Prior to joining Just Eat, Freddie spent nearly a decade scaling digital products and platforms across high-growth tech sectors. He specialises in leveraging technology to boost operational efficiency across internal business teams and processes.

Freddie is an alumnus of the Reforge program for product strategy, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA). He also holds a Master of Arts in Philosophy from Leiden University as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from UCL, with a particular focus on political philosophy.

Freddie hopes the Thatcher Fellowship will help him to better understand why there is a growing disconnect between Westminster and the world of commercial enterprise, and what can be meaningfully done to help encourage politicians to re-engage with concepts such as price mechanisms, reduced regulations and free markets. All with the aim of ensuring that the few remaining growth sectors in Britain aren’t strangled as a result of government heavy-handedness.

In his spare time, he enjoys boxing, watching most sports, reading history books and spy novels, and playing chess (badly).
