Barnaby Spink is a Project Leader at the Boston Consulting Group, one of the leading global management consultancy firms. Since joining BCG in 2022, he has worked across industries including Consumer, Energy and Industrial Goods. Barnaby is a core member of the firm’s Corporate Finance & Strategy practice area, part of the business focussed on helping clients with transactions, portfolio strategy and corporate development.
Prior to joining BCG, Barnaby served as an officer in the British Army from 2014 to 2022 as an armoured troop leader and a staff officer in a variety of roles. He completed two tours of Estonia as part of NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence and was part of Britain’s last heavy armoured unit permanently based in Germany, where he was stationed for four years.
Barnaby commits a significant amount of time to coaching others in work and recruitment. Over his last year in the army, Barnaby completed an MBA at Imperial College London, where he acted as a CV coach for unemployed people re-entering the workforce. He is also the chair of BCG London’s military network, where he takes an active role in supporting service leavers looking to enter consulting.
Barnaby had an international up-bringing, growing up in Japan and Singapore, where he developed a firm belief in international trade and cross border enterprise. He is looking to galvanise these views over the Thatcher Fellowship and develop a clear view on how government can best support industry.
