Sahil Mahtani is Director of the Investment Institute at Ninety One, with responsibility for the thematic research process as well as select strategic asset allocation research topics. Prior to Ninety One, he worked in the multi-asset and thematic research team at Deutsche Bank under Jim Reid, and was also assistant to Deutsche Bank chief economist David Folkerts-Landau. In 2016-2017, he was also economic advisor to former UK Chancellor George Osborne. He graduated from Harvard University with an AB in history in 2008.
Sahil is excited to be joining the 2025/26 cohort of Thatcher Fellows. He is looking forward to working with the other fellows and the CPS on the programme, and to developing his understanding of political theory and practice at this key moment for British politics.
