Tony Lodge is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Policy Studies.
He has written and commented widely on rail policy and is author of The Right Track – Delivering the Vision for HS2 (2010), Rail’s Second Chance – putting competition back on track (2013), Get Rail Competition Back on Track (2016) and Changing Track – How to rescue the railways after the pandemic (2022).
He delivered the Institute of Directors Beesley Lecture on ‘Promoting railway competition’ and has appeared before the Commons Transport Select Committee and the Competition and Markets Authority.
