James Price

Research Fellow

James Price is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Policy Studies. He served as a Government Senior Special Adviser across five departments, including as the Chief of Staff to the Chancellor of the Exchequer.

James also worked as a SpAd for the Leader and Chief Whip in the House of Lords, the Department for Education, HM Treasury, the Cabinet Office as Chief of Staff to the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Chief of Staff to the Conservative Party Chairman.

A former director at a public affairs agency and a think tanker, James is also the oldest President of the Oxford Union in its 200-year history and is a former UK ‘Kebab of the Year Award’ judge. He holds and MA from the University of Oxford and an MSc from University College London, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
