Resham Kotecha is the Global Head of Policy at the ODI, where she leads public policy work and collaborates with governments to strengthen data ecosystems and policy frameworks. Before this, she was Head of Policy at Wise, a FTSE-listed Unicorn, overseeing policy efforts across EMEA.
With over a decade of experience in policy, Resham has served as Director at UK Anti-Doping, economic adviser to a Member of Parliament and Minister, and researcher to a Baroness. She was appointed by the UK Cabinet Office as Deputy Chair of the Social Mobility Commission, advising the Government.
Resham is also Head of Engagement for Women2Win, promoting women’s representation in Parliament, and serves as a Trustee of the John Smith Centre, which champions the positive role of politics and public service. She was selected for the prestigious Future Leaders programme by the Coalition for Global Prosperity and served as a member of the Home Office Windrush Working Group at the request of the Home Secretary. She is a member of the Government’s Smart Data Council, and was formerly Vice-President of the European FinTech Association.
She has written for The Times, the Centre for Policy Studies, and HuffPost, and regularly speaks at policy conferences. Resham holds a degree in Economics from Cambridge University and was named a ‘Global Shaper’ by the World Economic Forum.
