Mario Creatura was born in South London to working-class Italian migrant parents. State-educated, he was the first in his family to attend university. In 2017 he was asked to serve as a Special Adviser to Prime Minister Theresa May in 10 Downing Street. He was an elected Conservative councillor from 2014 to 2026 and stood for Parliament in 2019. By profession, Mario is a self-employed strategic communications consultant, and a long-serving Mentor for the Social Mobility Foundation.
