Elliott Mears

Managing Director

Elliott is Managing Director of the Centre for Policy Studies, where he leads alongside the Director Robert Colvile, focussing on strategy, finance and fundraising, and overseeing HR, operations and recruitment to ensure impact at the highest levels of UK policy and public discourse.

He joined the CPS in 2023 having spent six years as Director of Partnerships at The Spectator, working closely with Andrew Neil and Fraser Nelson to expand the commercial offering. He has previously led growth teams at fast paced start-ups Bolt and Global Airlines, and more recently as a Director at the New Statesman.

He received the prestigious Peter G Richards Award for his dissertation ‘Theories of the Policy Process’, and began his career leading on external affairs at the think tank ResPublica, where he successfully helped campaign for Metro Mayors and devolution deals.
