An outbreak of narcolepsy? Why the BBC must improve its coverage of the EU

Few issues have divided British society and the political establishment as much is the developing relationship with European Union. Despite this, the EU has been poorly covered by the BBC. Five years of periodic monitoring by Minotaur covering 14 separate studies and more than 1,000 programme transcripts shows that the Corporation devotes a remarkably low volume of airtime to the EU and its affairs.
