Strikes are "a tragedy — and it will hurt these children most."

The problems teachers most commonly face “are the result of poor leadership — not a lack of money” and striking is not the right solution says CPS Head of Education Mark Lehain.

Writing in the Daily Mail, the former teacher and headteacher also argues that schools need to be open, consistently open, to allow “children to develop and catch up after the misery of lockdown”.
