CPS Head of Housing Samuel Hughes is quoted in the Telegraph responding to calls by some housebuilders for a new version of the government’s Help to Buy scheme.
Samuel Hughes told the newspaper “Although it does help [first time buyers] a bit to get on to the first rung of the housing ladder, the second rung is just as difficult as it would have been if Help to Buy hadn’t existed at all”.
