Analysis by the Centre for Policy Studies sought to predict the ONS net migration figures for 2022, based on a range of potential scenarios.
Looking at previous record highs, the average since the Brexit, and averages for the decade prior to the pandemic, our researchers came up with a range of net migration forecasts between 700,000 and 997,000.
The analysis received well over 500 media hits and was picked up by outlets including the BBC and ITV, the front page of the Times, the Financial Times, the Telegraph, the Express, Unherd, and many many more.
Karl Williams, Deputy Research Director, also wrote for the Telegraph as the latest ONS figures were published and CPS Director Robert Colvile joined The Spectator Editor Fraser Nelson on their Coffee House Shots podcast.
