Robert Colvile, CPS Director, has been quoted twice by the i in recent weeks on the subject of housebuilding.
Firstly, in response to a speech by Housing Secretary Michael Gove, Robert said that although Gove was “adamant” that the country needs more homes, he was inevitably going to be restricted by political reality.
In the second, Robert noted that a key difference between Labour and the Conservatives’ attitude to housing was Labour’s willingness to countenance building on the greenbelt in order to guarantee every part of the country gets the homes it needs.
