Figures from polling company ComRes have revealed the Centre for Policy Studies is considered the most influential think tank by Conservative MPs.
The polling was carried out by ComRes, who spoke to over 150 MPs, and gathered their views on a variety of issues relating to the effectiveness, influence, profile, and perceived partiality of think tanks.
The Centre for Policy Studies was one of only two think tanks to improve its reputation for influence, even as Westminster’s attention was overwhelmed by the “political black hole of Brexit”.
The CPS also saw the second-highest reputation among Conservative MPs for high-quality output and scores better than any other free-market think tank in terms of being free from commercial influence.
