The purpose of education is to give people tools “with which they can make their own way and support themselves” which requires “a range of schools that suit aptitudes – whether academic or technical.”
Writing following the publication of ‘Technically Gifted’, a new report from Toby Young published by the Centre for Policy Studies, Alex highlights the need for an education system structured in a way that improves outcomes for young people and the country, by producing students with the skills needed by employers.
