Majority of Britain’s youth will not vote Tory in next election, CPS figures reveal

Just 5% of 18-24 year olds are sure to vote Tory at the next general election, according to figures released today.

The findings, reported in The Sun, form the basis of a collection of essays writen by young Conservative MPs and activists on the centre-right due to be published by the Centre for Policy Studies on Tuesday 15 May.

In his introduction to the essays, Ben Bradley, Conservative Party Vice-Chair for Youth, writes that the party “must show we’re passionate, and that old stereotypes are wrong.”

The essays draws on the findings of a YouGov survey, commissioned by the Centre for Policy Studies, on the concerns of young people.
