Since 2004, Trafford has been the Tories’ flagship in the North but Labour gained the council in last week’s local elections by weaponising NIMBYism, writes James Heywood.
James, CPS Senior Researcher and a former Tory activist in Trafford, highlights the need for local Conservative activists and campaigners to make a concerted effort both to assuage local concerns about infrastructure, and to make the positive case for building homes in a way that emphasises the benefits to residents.
