AP reports on Dr Henry Kissinger’s opening address to the Margaret Thatcher Conference on Security, hosted by the CPS, on 27 June 2017. In his speech, Dr Kissinger spoke about the challenges posed by Russian actions in Syria and the Crimea, saying that although he believed Vladimir Putin would ultimately work with Europe to secure Russia’s borders, the country would also try to take advantage of future “chaos” in the West.
Dr Kissinger also suggested Russia wouldn’t be the only country to take advantage of Western instability, predicting China and India would also gain a foothold in an emerging new world order.
