On 20 June 2017, Daniel Mahoney joined Faiza Shaheen, Director of the Class think tank, to discuss the future of austerity.
Earlier in the day, in a Mansion House speech, Chancellor Philip Hammond suggested the British public were tired of austerity and it was time to take another path.
Daniel argued that the government should adapt it’s priorities to ensure more intergenerational fairness but that overall austerity needed to continue.
