Labour business proposals criticised (Business Today)

CPS briefing note “Estimating the Employment Effects of Labour’s Corporation Tax Policy” was featured in a Business Today analysis of Labour’s business plans, Wednesday 4 March 2015. 

“The Labour party have already pledged to reverse the one per cent cut due to take place in April should they win the election. According to the Centre for Policy Studies, this alone would have a cumulative employment cost of 1,300. Should a decision me made to increase this further the employment cost could rise to 96,400 by 2018/2019 – a figure that has been widely reported by media outlets from The Telegraph and The Guardian to the Daily Mail.”
