CPS ranked among world's top think tanks

The Centre for Policy Studies has once again been named amongst the world’s top think tanks in the annual ‘Global Go To Think Tank Index Report’.

The rankings are the result of an international survey of over 1,950 scholars, public and private donors, policy makers, and journalists who helped rank more than 6,500 think tanks using a set of 18 criteria developed by the Think Tanks and Civil Society Programme. The purpose of the rankings is to help improve the profile and performance of think tanks while highlighting the important work they do for governments and civil societies around the world.

The CPS was ranked:

89th Top Think Worldwide out of 6,500 by US and international respondents

42nd Best External Relations/Public Engagement Program – Highest placed UK policy think tank

23rd for Most Innovative Policy Ideas/Proposals – Highest placed UK policy think tank

33rd for Outstanding Policy-Oriented Public Programs

2013 was a successful year for the CPS as, out of over 2,000 UK think tank reports published in 2013, we also won the Prospect ‘Think Tank Report of the Year Award’ for Andrew Tyrie MP and Anthony Peto QC’s “Neither Just Nor Secure”.

With our 40th anniversary in 2014 we will be building on this success to bring an even bigger and more exciting programme supporting our founding principles of free markets, individual liberty, low tax and a small state.
