Can Teachers Save Our Schools?

We’ve tried everything else – and each year, social mobility falls, employers grumble again about declining standards of school leavers and universities still have to dumb-down their courses a bit more.

In conjunction with Teach First and the Institute of Ideas Education Forum, the Centre for Policy Studies is conducting a mini-internship during the first week of August for five of England’s brightest young teachers.  They understand how well-intentioned interventions often exacerbate the problems they were designed to address.

On the Thursday 4 August, our interns will each give a 10-minute presentation outlining a specific policy proposal drawn from their own classroom experience.  We’d like you to join our panel in evaluating each new idea.

Please let us know (by emailing [email protected] ) if you can join us at the Centre for Policy Studies (57 Tufton Street, London, SW1P 3QL) between 11.00 am and 2.00 pm. A light lunch and refreshments will be provided.
