CPS at Reform UK party conference

05/09/2025 - 05/09/2025

The Centre for Policy Studies will be hosting a panel at this year’s Reform UK party conference at the Birmingham NEC.

Join us in the Union Theatre in main Exhibition Hall on Friday 5 September for the panel to hear from speakers including Reform’s Mayor of Greater Lincolnshire Dame Andrea Jenkyns.

Why is Britain so badly governed?
Few would argue Britain is well-governed, but why is that? Public opinion on issues like immigration rarely translates into action. Politicians of all stripes report finding it hard to put their ideas into practice when in government. Is there something about the structure of government, or our electoral system, which holds good ideas back, or is it simply about a lack of good ideas in the first place? Join our expert panel to discuss.
Date: Friday 5th September
Time: 14:30-16:00
Location: The Union Theatre Reform party conference, Birmingham NEC
Panel:
Robert Colvile – CPS Director (Chair)
Dame Andrea Jenkyns – Mayor of Greater Lincolnshire
Sam Lister – Associate Editor, Daily Express
Alex Morton – CPS Director of Strategy
Gawain Towler – Political consultant and Reform board member
