29/04/2020 - 29/04/2020

CPS ‘Going for Growth’ webinar with the Rt Hon Sir John Redwood MP

Even before the coronavirus crisis, long-term growth had stagnated. In the wake of the outbreak, getting growth back on course will be crucial. In the latest Centre for Policy Studies ‘Going for Growth’ lecture, Sir John Redwood explores the role the Bank of England can play in boosting the economy – and what lessons can be learned from past crises.

Sir John discussed his ideas – which you can read in full on CapX – with CPS Director Robert Colvile on Wednesday 29th April at 5pm, and answered questions from participants.

Sir John Redwood has been Conservative MP for Wokingham since 1987, having previously served as an advisor to Margaret Thatcher. He has held a variety of frontbench roles both in government and opposition, including serving in the Cabinet and Shadow Cabinet.
